The study of the arteries of the neck which pass the blood from the heart towards the head and the upper limbs has the particularity to offer us the exploration of the large blood vessels with the aim of looking for the presence of atherosclerotic plaques likely to migrate and to create Ischemic stroke. These plaques rich in cholesterol or atherosclerosis cause especially at the level of bifurcations of the carotids, narrowing or stenosis capable of disturbing the blood flow.
